Michael Pezely

Michael Pezely is an experienced professional in risk intelligence and trust and safety. Michael currently holds the position of Senior Director of Risk Intelligence at Signifyd, a role they have been in since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Risk Intelligence at Signifyd from September 2021 to January 2023. Before joining Signifyd, Pezely served as the Head of Trust and Safety at OfferUp from November 2015 to September 2021, where they successfully built and scaled multiple trust and safety teams. Michael also spent a significant portion of their career at eBay, where they held various roles such as Senior Manager of Trust Science Detection and Platforms, Manager of Trust Science Detection, and Principal Analyst of Trust Science. In these roles, Pezely led global teams, played a key role in designing risk decision engines, and collaborated with product and engineering teams to implement risk mitigation solutions. Overall, Pezely has extensive experience in risk detection, fraud prevention, and policy operations.

Michael Pezely attended the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2017, where they studied Business Process Design for Strategic Management. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1996, they attended Salt Lake Community College, focusing on Biotechnology. Michael also obtained a certification as a CSM Certified Scrum Master in January 2012.
