Daniel Bankmann is a software engineer with extensive experience in energy-based modeling and optimal control. Currently employed at SIGNON since January 2022, Daniel previously worked at PSI Software AG and Technische Universität Berlin, where research focused on Port-Hamiltonian systems, sensitivity analysis, and applications to power systems and robotics. Daniel contributed to the DFG-supported priority program 1984, addressing challenges in next-generation electrical power systems. Holding a PhD in Engineering Mathematics from Technische Universität Berlin, as well as a Master's degree from the same institution and a Bachelor's degree from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, Daniel has also completed internships and research roles involving programming languages such as Python, FORTRAN, and Mathematica, alongside experience in web development and test automation.
