Fajar van Megen has been a software developer since 2008. Fajar began their career at maestro design & advertising as a Web Developer, working closely with graphic designers and clients to capture requirements into specification documents and then implement solutions. In 2011, they joined Careweb as a Full-stack Developer, where they worked with UX/UI designers to redesign the UI of the Calendar module. Fajar also acted as a Java Developer, designing, maintaining, implementing and rolling out new features across the entire stack of the in-house electronic patient dossier and healthcare record keeping system. Additionally, they acted as a Frontend Developer, creating, designing and implementing user-facing interfaces for Careweb web-based SaaS. In 2019, they became a Software Developer, developing an open-source Software Development Kit for Symbol blockchain. This SDK was written in Dart for building apps on multiple platforms using a single codebase. It had a RESTful API (with OpenAPI specs standard) and used a custom serialization library Catbuffer (similar to Protobuf or Flatbuffers) with client/server code generator for Dart. Currently, they are a Back End Developer at Siilo.

Fajar van Megen obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences between 2004 and 2010. Prior to this, they obtained a Propaedeutic degree in IT & Media Production from Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht in 2003-2004.
