Ami Kumordzie

Ami Kumordzie is the founder and CEO of Sika Health. Kumordzie has over ten years of experience in the healthcare industry, including strategic innovation, consulting, and marketing.

Kumordzie began their career as an analyst-in-residence at HealthTech Capital. In this role, they were responsible for conducting due diligence on early-stage health technology companies. Kumordzie then transitioned to Transcend Medical Inc., where they interned in marketing and medical affairs. Transcend Medical Inc. was acquired by Alcon in 2015.

After their time at Transcend Medical Inc., Kumordzie became a fellow with Life Science Angels, where they screened and conducted due diligence for early-stage medical device start-up companies. In 2016, Kumordzie worked as a summer consultant with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in their healthcare practice. Ami joined BCG as a full-time consultant in 2017 and remained in this role until 2019.

In June 2019, Kumordzie joined BD as the Senior Manager of their Strategic Innovation Group. Ami remained in this role until August 2021 when they left to start Sika Health.

Kumordzie has a passion for healthcare and improving patient outcomes. Ami is excited to be leading Sika Health as they work to develop innovative solutions that will make a difference in the lives of patients around the world.

Ami Kumordzie educational career consists of a Bachelor of Science from The Johns Hopkins University, a Doctor of Medicine from Stanford University School of Medicine, and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
