Babak Tavassoli

Babak Tavassoli has a long and varied work history. Babak started their career in 2007 as an IT/IS Consultant and Sales Project Coordinator for Gord Telecom Towers. In 2010, they moved to the Embassy of Japan where they held the roles of Economic Advisor and International Aid and Development Project Officer. In 2014, they co-founded and became the CEO of UNI4. Babak then moved to C. La Belle AS in 2017, where they held the roles of Informationsystemer og teknologi utvikler (IT Konsulent) and Business Administrator. In 2019, they worked as an IT Konsulent for both IT-Konsulent Tavassoli ENK and Experis IT. In 2020, they became the Chief Engineer for Unit – Direktoratet for IKT og fellestjenester i høyere utdanning og forskning. Babak is currently the Chief Engineer for Sikt – Kunnskapssektorens tjenesteleverandør, a position they have held since 2022.

Babak Tavassoli has an extensive education history. Babak obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Shahid Beheshti University between 1994 and 1998. Babak then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Azad University (IAU) between 1998 and 2001. In 2008, Babak Tavassoli obtained a Master's Degree in Information Technology from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic, which they completed in 2011. In 2016, they received an ICT Accessibility certification from Georgia Institute of Technology. Between 2018 and 2019, they completed CEFR B2 from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Babak then completed Research courses from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at NTNU from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Babak Tavassoli is pursuing an Årsstudium in IT at Molde University College, which they expect to complete in 2022. In addition to their educational qualifications, Babak Tavassoli also holds certifications in PRINCE2® Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice (obtained in 2018), Grunnkurs i arbeidsmiljø from Din bedriftshelsetjeneste AS, Trondheim (obtained in 2017), Entrepreneurial Mindset from Babson College (obtained in 2017), and IELTS from IELTS Official (obtained in 2015).
