Flavia Ongai

Flavia Ongai has a solid background in information technology and systems administration. Flavia is currently working as the Group Head of IT at Silafrica since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Group Systems Administrator and Ag. Group Head of IT at Silafrica from March 2021 to October 2022. In this role, they were responsible for optimizing business IT processes, monitoring IT efficiency, formulating and implementing the ICT strategy, and managing department budgets.

Before joining Silafrica, Flavia worked at General Plastics Limited mfg. co as an Information Technology System Administrator from September 2016 to March 2021. Their responsibilities included formulating IT solutions, managing IT systems, conducting research projects, and ensuring the reliable performance of business information systems.

Prior to that, they served as a Senior System Administrator at Basco Products (K) Ltd from September 2013 to August 2016. Their duties included formulating IT solutions, troubleshooting systems-related issues, and participating in projects to implement information systems and applications.

Flavia began their career at Basco Products (K) Ltd as an ICT Assistant/System Administrator from September 2005 to August 2012.

Flavia Ongai has a diverse education history in the field of Information Systems and Technology. Flavia pursued their MSc. Science in Information Systems & Technology, specializing in Business Information Systems, at the United States International University - Africa. Additionally, they attended the Syspro Academy in South Africa, where they obtained a degree as a Syspro ERP Administrator. Furthermore, they studied Computer Programming at Graffins College, and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology at Zetech University.
