Nirmal Warke has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. In 2019, they joined SiLC Technologies, Inc as a LiDAR Product Architect. Prior to this, they worked at Texas Instruments Inc from 1997 to 2019 in various roles. These included Systems Engr - Research, Distinguished Member Technical Staff, Systems Engr - Research, Senior Member Technical Staff, and ADSL Wireline Modem Development. In their role as Systems Engr - Research, Senior Member Technical Staff, they were responsible for defining project goals and product concept from interactions with BU marketing and customers, creating a system simulation platform for link performance simulation, developing a novel low power baseband architecture, and specifying baseband algorithms for carrier frequency, LO phase noise, CDR and AGC acquisition/tracking. Nirmal also designed and simulated key PHY layer algorithms for a 60GHz wireless PAN, and led the development of an internal SerDes link performance simulation platform for modeling of all TI SerDes architectures. In addition, they were involved in all aspects of ADSL modem PHY layer development from algorithm exploration to floating point implementation and eventually to fixed point TI C64x DSP implementation.

Nirmal Warke began their educational journey in 1989 when they obtained a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Nirmal then went on to pursue a MS / PhD in Electrical Enginnering - Signal processing and Communications at George Mason University from 1993 to 1997. During this time, they also worked as a Visiting Research Scholar in Communications - Detection and Estimation at Rice University in 1997.
