Tingyi Zhou has been working in the engineering field since 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Research Assistant at Jalali-Lab, where they conducted research on the symbiosis of ultrafast optical instruments and AI. Tingyi developed a novel computing framework that used nonlinear dynamics of an optical system to perform complex transformations for accelerating machine learning classification of ultrafast optical signals acquired using high-speed real-time instruments. Tingyi also applied machine learning for optical pulse characterization. From 2021 to 2023, they worked as a Hardware Engineer at MX Imaging, Inc. Currently, they are working as a System Engineer at SiLC Technologies, Inc.
Tingyi Zhou attended Beijing Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Optioelectronics. Tingyi then attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 2017 to 2019, where they earned a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Tingyi is currently enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
