Manuela Aleku

Manuela Aleku is a highly experienced professional in the field of biopharmaceuticals, currently serving as Project Director at Silence Therapeutics plc since 2020. In this role, Manuela leads the SLN124 project, a GalNAc-conjugated siRNA treatment for polycythemia vera, and focuses on the development and improvement of project management standards and processes. Prior to this role, Manuela held multiple leadership positions at Silence Therapeutics from 2011 to 2019, including Head of Translational Development and Head of Non-Clinical Development, where responsibilities included transitioning programs to clinical stages and managing IND-enabling projects. Manuela's earlier roles included Head of In Vivo Pharmacology, Head of Scientific Operations, and Project Manager In Vivo Pharmacology, each contributing to their extensive expertise in project management, R&D operations, and drug development.
