Victor Li Xiaowei

Victor Li Xiaowei has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Victor started their career as a Technology Intern at StarHub in 2009, where they gathered user requirements and designed solutions using Excel and MySQL. During their internship, they automated the ETL cycle and improved the database query speed significantly.

After their internship, Victor joined OCBC Bank in 2010 as a Technology Associate. In this role, they utilized VBS scripting to automate and enhance the manual scanning process of the enterprise file share server. Victor also optimized SQL scripts, reducing the load on the Teradata Data Warehouse server. Victor successfully delivered a Teradata Data Warehouse project within the allocated budget and timeframe.

In 2011, Victor transitioned to the role of an IBM Midrange System Engineer at OCBC Bank. Victor'sresponsibilities included system setup, migration, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, and project support for the Core Banking infrastructure. Victor led the design and implementation of a Core Banking infrastructure migration, achieving faster batch runs and reduced data exposure time. Victor also migrated the enterprise file share server, resulting in reduced operation costs and improved system availability.

From 2015 to 2017, Victor served as an AI and Automation Developer at OCBC Bank, where they adopted Amazon Alexa into Data Centre operations and built data pipelines to automate capacity reports. Victor'swork eliminated the need for manual intervention and improved operational efficiency.

Most recently, Victor joined Silent Eight Pte. Ltd. in 2017 as a Data Scientist, later transitioning to the role of Data Science Lead in April 2019.
