Pilar Lorenzana

Pilar Lorenzana serves as the Vice President of Community Action, Initiatives, and Policy at Silicon Valley Community Foundation since May 2023, where responsibility encompasses the design and implementation of community grantmaking and strategic initiatives in housing, early learning, financial security, and community partnerships. Pilar also holds positions as a board member at SV@Home, a steering committee member for Smart Growth California, and co-chair of the Great Communities Collaborative, focusing on creating equitable and sustainable communities. Previous experience includes community development at Google, Assistant Director of Housing and Local Planning at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, and Deputy Director at SV@Home, among other roles dedicated to advocating for affordable housing solutions. Pilar's educational background includes a Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from Arizona State University and a BS in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas.
