Aakif Nawaz

Aakif Nawaz has a diverse work experience in the field of AI and computer vision engineering. Aakif is currently working at Silo AI as an AI Engineer, starting from March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Microsoft as a Computer Vision Engineer, also starting in March 2022. Before joining Microsoft, Aakif was a Computer Vision Algorithm Engineer at Huawei Tampere Research Center, where they collaborated with university partners to improve Huawei's camera ISP. Aakif worked on various projects such as Image Super-Resolution, Image Registration, Hyper-Spectral Imaging, and Vision Transformers for Low-Level Image Processing. During their time at Huawei, they also had the opportunity to mentor and guide interns. Aakif's work experience demonstrates their expertise in AI and computer vision and their ability to work on a variety of challenging projects.

Aakif Nawaz began their education journey in 2014, studying at Vellore Institute of Technology, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2018. Aakif then pursued further studies and undertook a Master's degree in Computational Science at LUT University from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, from 2018 to 2020, Aakif attended Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University, obtaining a Master of Science - MS degree with a focus on Computer and Information Sciences, General.
