Juho Kerttula

Juho Kerttula has a diverse work experience in the field of AI and data science. Juho currently works at Silo AI as the Lead AI Scientist and Expert Lead. Prior to that, they worked at DAIN Studios as a Senior AI Consultant. Before that, they held multiple roles at Aller Media Oy, Finland including Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist, where they were responsible for analytics, business development, and built a natural language content moderation and recommendation service. Juho also worked as a Data Scientist at the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS), where they worked on projects related to business process development and medical research. Additionally, Juho has experience as a Product Development Engineer at NKT Photonics, where they led system development projects, and as a Researcher and Research Assistant at the Optoelectronics Research Centre, where they focused on industrial optical fiber devices.

Juho Kerttula began their education in 2002 at Tampere University of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Juho completed their undergraduate studies in 2008. During this time, they also participated in a student exchange program at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2007-2008. After their undergraduate studies, they continued at Tampere University of Technology and obtained a Doctorate of Science (Tech.) degree in Physics from 2008 to 2013. In 2012-2013, Juho also engaged in pedagogic studies at the University of Tampere, focusing on educational sciences.
