Michael Wessman

Michael Wessman has extensive work experience in the tech industry. Michael currently works at Silo AI as a Senior AI Engineer, where they focus mostly on data engineering in various projects across sectors such as environmental, telecommunications, retail, and banking. Prior to this, they worked at Solita as a Data Engineer, utilizing tools like AWS, Snowflake, Python, and SQL in transportation and energy projects. Michael also worked as a Research Assistant at Åbo Akademi, where they contributed to a project on creating an autonomous ferry using computer vision and developing an ML model to cluster point cloud data from a LIDAR camera. Earlier in their career, they held roles as a Junior Implementation Engineer at Walkbase, a Support Agent at Vakka-Suomen Puhelin Oy, an IT Trainee at Arcada University of Applied Sciences, and an IT Helpdesk at Arcada University of Applied Sciences.

Michael Wessman began their education in 2007 at Helsinge Gymnasium, where they obtained their Ylioppilas degree in 2011. In 2008-2009, they participated in an exchange program at Whitefish Bay High School. Michael then pursued their higher education at Åbo Akademi University, majoring in Computer Engineering. Michael completed their Bachelor of Technology degree from 2012 to 2016, and subsequently earned a Master of Technology degree from 2016 to 2018, both at Åbo Akademi University. Additionally, in March 2019, Michael obtained the Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
