Sampsa Riikonen

Sampsa Riikonen has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Sampsa started their career as a Research Assistant at Aalto University School of Science and Technology in 1999, where they gained experience in computational fluid dynamics and microfluidistics. Sampsa also designed, implemented, and deployed full-stack web applications using technologies such as Docker, PostgresSQL, Pyramid, and Vue.

In 2021, Sampsa briefly worked as a Senior C++ Developer at Ascent before moving on to their next opportunity.

Sampsa Riikonen started their education by completing their Bachelor's degree in General studies at Vuosaaren Lukio from 1992 to 1995. Sampsa then went on to pursue their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics at Aalto University, where they studied from 1996 to 2002. During this time, in 1996, they also completed their Finnish military service in the Suomen Armeija. After obtaining their M.Sc., Sampsa continued their academic journey and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Material Physics from the University of the Basque Country, which spanned from 2003 to 2007. In 2014, they further enhanced their skills by participating in a training program for data analytics called Data Analytics Pro at Saranen Consulting, which they completed in 2015.
