Ayaa Matariyeh

Ayaa Matariyeh, LSW, is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in psychiatric social work. Currently serving as the Lead Emergency Department Psychiatric Social Worker at Silver Cross Hospital since March 2022, Ayaa previously held positions as an Emergency Department Social Worker and as a Crisis Intervention Worker at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Ayaa’s earlier roles include Emergency Services Intake Coordinator at Hartgrove Behavioral Health System and various internships in behavioral health and crisis intervention. Ayaa's background also includes significant advocacy work as the Lead Victims Advocate at Arab American Family Services, where responsibilities encompassed program management and supporting survivors of domestic violence. Ayaa holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Illinois Chicago.
