Petra Pilgrim

Petra Pilgrim, M.D., has extensive experience in psychiatry, currently serving as an Attending Psychiatrist at Silver Hill Hospital since October 2019 and maintaining a private practice specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy and medication management since July 2015. Prior to these roles, Petra was a Staff Physician at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston, where as Medical Director, led the Women's Inpatient Specialty Environment of Recovery (WISER) Program from October 2015 to October 2019. Additionally, Petra held positions as an Assistant Professor and Resident Physician at Baylor College of Medicine from June 2011 to October 2019, and worked as an on-call psychiatrist at The Menninger Clinic from June 2013 to June 2015. Petra obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Rice University and a Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
