Hannah Heckner

Hannah Heckner is the VP of Product at Silverchair. Hannah was previously the Associate Director of Product Development and Science Partner Journals at Science Magazine. In that role, they served as a liaison for upwards of 30 academic journals, each attached to an editorial board and many affiliated with professional or academic associations. Hannah managed relationships with academic editors and societies, attended conferences and ran in-house meetings.

Heckner has a long history of advocating for budgetary increases and balancing costs and revenues. Hannah has also served as a conduit for communication between company and editorial/society contacts, distilling information on company initiatives, industry news, and developments in respective academic fields. Additionally, they hascoordinated editorial interns and sat on the eProducts working group as Editorial representative, offering suggestions on online platform developments to enhance author and editor use and satisfaction.

Hannah Heckner studied history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hannah earned their bachelor's degree from the school.

Their manager is Will Schweitzer, Chief Product & Customer Success Officer. They are on a team with Lindsay Jacobik - Director, Client Services, Micah Jones - Sr. Product Owner, and Emily Hazzard - Product Operations Analyst.
