Vincent Partington

Principal Software Engineer at Silverflow

Vincent Partington studied computer science at the University of Amsterdam. In 1995, while still a student, he became involved in the budding Internet scene in Amsterdam and worked at the first free Internet service (De Digitale Stad) from 1995 onwards and then at website creation company NMG. After graduating in 1997, he stumbled upon what would later become Java EE and ran his first Java EE application in production the next year.

After working in the Java EE space for different companies, Vincent joined Dutch consultancy firm Xebia in 2003. There he started development of Java EE/.NET deployment automation product XL Deploy and co-founded the first successful Xebia spin-off XebiaLabs. In ten years, XebiaLabs grew to 150+ employees and 180+ customers worldwide and was finally acquired by TPG to form DevOps company Digital.ai.

Vincent is excited to join Silverflow to work at the cutting edge of cloud technology to build a highly scalable cloud-based service. As Principal Software Engineer, he is responsible for the design and implementation of their secure and scalable service at a global scale using cloud-native technology, and ensuring that they can grow their engineering organisation while maintaining quality, agility and speed.
