Roxana Diaconescu

Roxana Diaconescu has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Roxana currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at SilverRail since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Facebook as a Software Engineering Manager, where they developed a new strategic product called Portal For Business. Roxana also held the position of Senior Director Of Engineering at Sysdig, leading the Monitor engineering organization and scaling the team across multiple locations. Roxana has experience in managing engineering teams at Uber and Cloudera, where they led the Order Platform team and a team of engineers focused on open source code integration, respectively. Roxana also worked at Expedia, Inc. as the Manager of Software Development, building a strong team of software engineers. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Markit, Yahoo!, Inc., California Institute of Technology, and UC Irvine, where they contributed to various projects and conducted research in the field of computer science.

Roxana Diaconescu completed their education in Computer Science at two prestigious institutions. From 1992 to 1997, they studied at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, earning a Master's Degree. Following this, they pursued further academic achievements at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1998 to 2002. There, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science.
