Ryan Houston-McMillan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles.

Ryan currently serves as a Senior Product Manager at Silvr, a position they assumed in July 2022.

Prior to that, they worked as a Mentor at Techstars, specifically focusing on humanitarian efforts related to disease, poverty, pollution, and climate change.

Ryan joined Techstars in March 2022.

From 2019 to 2022, Ryan held multiple positions at Airbus, including Product Leader, Lead Strategic Design Manager, Strategic Designer, and UX Designer.

Their achievements at Airbus include creating a digital solution in a new area of expertise to activate a new revenue stream, identifying core problems in daily airline operations, and achieving paid contract signatures from clients within six months.

Before their time at Airbus, Ryan was a Senior UX Designer at Yoti Ltd, where they worked on a consumer mobile application for storing and sharing verified personal identity information.

Additionally, they conducted field research to validate product use and gained experience in industries such as health, aviation, retail, and government services.

Ryan also worked as a Product Manager & Product Designer on contract at Founders Factory Ltd, where they created an MVP and secured an early adoption contract with a fortune 100 company.

At Techstars, Ryan served as an Associate Product and Design Consultant, providing guidance to startups in areas such as acquisition, retention, and pitch presentation strategy.

Ryan has also worked as a freelance Product Consultant and co-founded a user-generated social news app called YPN, where they served as the CEO.

Ryan's earlier experience includes roles as a Project Manager and Creative at Jack in the Box Worldwide.

Ryan Houston-McMillan has a diverse educational background primarily focused on digital transformation in financial services and user experience design. Ryan attended Copenhagen Business School where they specialized in digital transformation in financial services and also obtained certifications in digital competition in financial services, fintech and the transformation in financial services, innovation strategy, and managing an agile team. Ryan also completed a course in strategy and sustainability at IESE Business School. Additionally, they attended General Assembly for user experience design, The University of Huddersfield where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Design, and Durban High School for their high school education. Ryan also has a certification in Scrum Master.
