Karol Byra

Karol Byra is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as Security Tech Lead at SimCorp since September 2023. Previously, Karol held the role of Internal Cybersecurity Coordinator at CD PROJEKT RED, where responsibilities included managing a cybersecurity team, developing strategies, and fostering relationships with key partners. Earlier experiences include positions such as Senior IT Security Specialist and IDT Cybersecurity Associate Manager at British American Tobacco, where Karol led engineering teams and managed cybersecurity services. Karol has also served as SOC Manager at EVO Payments, Inc., focusing on incident management and SOC workflow improvements, and contributed to vulnerability management at IBM as both a Service Administrator and Junior Network Cyber Security Analyst. Karol holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Teleinformatics from Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
