Mary Shapiro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership development and organizational consulting. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Simmons University Institute for Inclusive Leadership since July 2022, Mary focuses on empowering women leaders and promoting gender equity. Concurrently, Mary facilitates professional development programs at Harvard University, teaching courses on leadership effectiveness. Since 1995, Mary has operated as an Organizational Consultant with Management Exchange, delivering impactful workshops and speaking on various leadership topics. Mary has also been actively involved with the Pan-Mass Challenge since 2005, raising funds for cancer research, and supports the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts as a lifelong advocate and board member. Mary held various prestigious roles at Simmons University until December 2022, including Professor of Practice and Member Scholar at the Center for Gender in Organizations. Educationally, Mary earned an MBA and an MS in Economics from Wright State University between 1973 and 1979.
