Jennifer Kandjii

Jennifer Kandjii, PhD, serves as the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Student Services at Simon Fraser University since December 2022. Previously, Kandjii held the position of Coordinator for Hallman Chair Research Initiatives at Wilfrid Laurier University from March 2022 to September 2023. A Ph.D. candidate at the University of Waterloo from September 2015 to January 2023, Kandjii's research focused on the intersections of refugee governance, gender, and resilience, leading to presentations at numerous international conferences. Additional roles include Research Analyst at Freedom House, Graduate Research Assistant positions at various institutions, and operational work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, contributing to humanitarian partnerships and project management in refugee contexts. Kandjii holds advanced degrees in Refugee Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, and Chemistry from prestigious institutions.
