Karen Hung

Karen Hung, CPA, CGA has a diverse work experience that spans over 18 years. Karen started their career in 2002 as a Revenue Reconciliation Clerk at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. In 2003, they joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson Canada as an AR Manager. From 2007 to 2016, Karen worked at Terrapin Mortgage Investment Corp., where they held the role of Accountant. In this role, they were responsible for accounting and financial reporting for various mortgage lending companies and real estate projects. In 2016, Karen joined Simon Fraser University as a Research Accounting Project Accountant. Karen then progressed to the role of Associate Director, Finance of the VP, Research Office and currently serves as the Director, Finance at the same office.

Karen Hung, CPA, CGA attended the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada from 2005 to 2015, where they obtained a degree in Accounting. Prior to that, they studied at The University of British Columbia and earned a BA in Psychology. Karen Hung also holds the certification of CPA, CGA from CPA Canada (Chartered Professional Accountants Canada).
