Michael Park

Michael Park is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in piano performance, composition, and music theory. Serving as a Dance Pianist at Simon Fraser University since September 2015 and contributing as Co-Founder of Art Song Lab since February 2010, Michael has developed a strong presence in the Vancouver music community. A dedicated teacher since 2002, Michael runs a studio that specializes in intermediate and advanced piano students, keyboard harmony, and composition while also providing piano accompaniment for various dance institutions. Michael’s previous roles include Artistic Director for the Erato Ensemble and faculty positions at Vancouver Academy of Music and The Richmond Academy of Dance. Academic achievements include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition from The University of British Columbia, a Master of Music in Music Theory and Composition from Western University, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Manitoba.
