Taura Thompson has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Taura currently holds the position of Director of Human Resources at Simon Lever, starting in July 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at the same company from August 2018 to July 2019. Taura also worked as a Human Resources Consultant at Aetna from June 2016 to June 2018. Before joining Aetna, they held various roles at Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. including Assistant Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Liaison II-III, and Recruiter. Taura started their career as an Employment Consultant at TriStarr Staffing from 1996 to 2002. Taura has experience in talent acquisition, performance management, budgeting, compensation, employee relations, merger and acquisition, FMLA, and general HR matters. Taura is skilled in building relationships, handling confidential information, and designing and implementing HR policies and processes.
Taura Thompson, PHR, CPC has a strong educational background in business administration and finance. Taura completed classwork towards a Masters in Business Administration at Lebanon Valley College. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance, General from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to their formal education, Taura has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Taura received certification as an Emotional and Social Competency Inventory from Korn Ferry in March 2018. Also in March 2018, they obtained the Korn Ferry 360 Feedback Facilitation and Coaching Certification. In December 2017, Taura became a Certified Professional Coach through the Center for Coaching Certification. Taura also holds a DISC Certification obtained in February 2017.
Taura's commitment to professional development is demonstrated by their obtaining the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM in September 2015. Taura is currently pursuing the PHR certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
