Ana Lam

Guest Researcher at Simons Foundation

Ana Lam is currently a Guest Researcher in the Gravitational Wave Paleontology Group at the Simons Foundation, a position held since September 2023. Lam has extensive experience in data engineering and software development, serving as a Data Engineer and Data-Oriented Software Engineer at YourStake from July 2021 to the present. Previously, Lam was a Post-Baccalaureate Fellow in the Digital Humanities at Barnard College, a Data Science & Machine Learning Intern at Ursa Space Systems, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Columbia University, where contributions included developing a multimessenger astrophysics search algorithm. Additional roles include significant internships at Berkeley Lab and Laboratoire Kastler Brossel, as well as tutoring and mentoring positions during undergraduate studies. Ana Lam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and English from Barnard College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Astrophysics at The Graduate Center, City University of New York.
