John Teague

John Teague is a seasoned Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in the development and operations of complex software systems, particularly in support of NASA's Earth science missions. Currently at Simple Technology Solutions since November 2020, John leads operations for the Common Metadata Repository (CMR) system, ensuring optimal performance and availability while collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues. Previously, John held similar roles at Red Canyon Engineering & Software, and demonstrated robust software development skills at Pitney Bowes, East Shore Technologies Inc, and Raytheon, where projects included satellite ground control systems and Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS). With a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University, John's diverse technical skills encompass programming, system architecture, and agile project management.
