John Teague

John Teague has extensive work experience as a software engineer, with a focus on roles related to NASA projects. From 2020 to the present, they have worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Simple Technology Solutions, where they serve as the Operations Lead for NASA EED-2's Common Metadata Repository (CMR) system. Their responsibilities include ensuring system availability and performance, deploying software releases, supporting developers with automation and script development, and coordinating with stakeholders for issue resolution. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2020, John held a similar role at Red Canyon Engineering & Software, also supporting the CMR system. Before their work at NASA, John worked for Pitney Bowes from 2008 to 2019, where their roles included Advisory/Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, involving various development tasks and responsibilities. Additional work experience includes roles as a Senior Software Developer at East Shore Technologies Inc from 2005 to 2008, a Principal Software Engineer at Raytheon from 2000 to 2005, a Senior Software Engineer at iXL, Inc in 2000, a Software Engineer at NCAR - The National Center for Atmospheric Research from 1999 to 2000, a Software Engineer at Raytheon from 1995 to 1999, and a Software Support Engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company from 1991 to 1995.

John Teague received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from North Carolina State University between 1982 and 1986. John later attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1987 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
