Satoshi Kataoka

Satoshi Kataoka has a diverse work experience in the field of AI, robotics, and software engineering. Satoshi is currently working as the Head of Machine Learning at Simple Things since 2023. Previously, they worked at Google for a significant period of time, starting in 2008. At Google, they held various roles such as Staff Software Engineer at Google Brain, where they worked on high-speed AI robotics and Tensorflow core framework. Satoshi also worked as a Tech Lead & Manager at Google Robotics, focusing on walking control, kinematics, and people management. Prior to joining Google, they owned SYMROP, a private company exploring innovations in AI, robotics, and mobile applications.

Satoshi Kataoka completed a Bachelor's degree in Information Science from The University of Tokyo in 2006. Satoshi then pursued further studies in Computer Science and obtained a Master's degree from The University of Tokyo in 2008.
