Joel Wick began their career in 1998 as the Michigan Fest Director and Coordinating Officer for Michigan Fest. In 2002, they joined Lowe's Inc. as a Flooring Sales Specialist and Installed Sales Coordinator. In 2009, they moved to Lowe's Home Improvement as an Installed Sales Coordinator and then to the City of Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation as a Softball Site Coordinator. In 2010, they rejoined Lowe's Inc. as a Department Manager of Installed Sales, where they achieved double-digit sales growth for the fiscal year 2010 and increased overall sales for the fiscal year 2011. In 2012, they returned to Lowe's Home Improvement as a Department Manager of Flooring, where they implemented a high-impact sales strategy that resulted in a 27% increase in flooring sales from 2012 to 2013. Joel also managed to surpass $2 million in sales for the first time in store history. In 2014, they joined Simple Finance as a Team Lead for the Doc Review Team and Risk Operations, where they reduced the SLA for customers in Identity Document Verification from 3 days to 1 business day. Joel also worked as a Risk Specialist in Operations, an Onboarding Team Lead, and a Frontend Customer Relations Agent and Social Media Team/Community Engagement Leader. Finally, they joined Pickathon as a Program Manager, where they managed the environmentally progressive Dish program for the festival.
Joel Wick received their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and International/Comparative Politics from Western Michigan University.
