Senior Product Designer at SimplePractice

Nick Stanerson has a diverse work experience in the field of design, specializing in product and user experience design. Nick is currently a Senior Product Designer at SimplePractice since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelance Designer from January 2015, undertaking various projects for small and large clients.

From 2021 to 2022, Nick worked as a Product Designer at Built Technologies, where they designed payment and insurance solutions within a construction platform. Nick also co-designed a self-service platform for easy onboarding and managing complex construction workflows.

Before that, from 2020 to 2021, Nick served as a User Experience Designer at iHeartMedia, where they contributed to designing customer solutions across different platforms. Nick collaborated closely with product, analytics, and marketing teams to ensure value delivery to users.

From 2018 to 2020, Nick worked as a Product Designer at Quore, designing cloud-based enterprise software for global hotel brands. Nick played a key role in introducing new brand standards and building a design system to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Starting in 2015, Nick worked as a Marketing Designer at emids, leading the creation of print and digital marketing materials. Nick also designed websites and delivered a rebranding project for a national healthcare summit.

Nick began their career at iostudio in 2011, first as an Information + UX Designer, specializing in digital design materials and information architecture. Later, they served as a Documentation Specialist, providing design support for sales and training efforts.

Earlier in their career, Nick worked as a Configuration Engineer at StoneRiver and a Systems Analyst at StoneRiver, Inc. - A Sapiens Company. Nick also had roles as a JWalk Developer - Graphic Designer and Technical Writing Intern at Fiserv Insurance Solutions.

Nick Stanerson began their education at Kirkwood Community College in 2000, studying Liberal Arts. Nick transferred to Iowa State University in 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communication. Nick successfully completed their studies at Iowa State University in 2005.
