Peter Luc

Peter Luc has extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Peter is currently the Vice President of Operations at Simplify, a role they have held since August 2023. Previously, they served as the Director of Sales Enablement at Red•Stone Group from April 2023 to July 2023.

From July 2021 to April 2023, Luc worked at Kayne Anderson Rudnick as the Director of Business Development/Research. In this role, they were responsible for managing global business and competitive intelligence activities, as well as overseeing institutional client services teams and the KAR Product Management process.

Prior to that, Luc worked at Western Asset Management from March 2018 to June 2021 as a Product Analytics Specialist and Competitor Intelligence Manager. Peter led a team responsible for competitor intelligence and institutional consultant databases and developed WAMCO's first-ever Strategy Review Forums.

Before joining Western Asset Management, Luc held various roles at PIMCO from 2005 to 2018. Peter served as a Vice President and Manager of Business Development Research, where they provided prospect research, competitor research, and customized research for asset raising and protection. Peter also worked as an Associate/Supervisor/Manager of Business Development Support, leading a team responsible for marketing proposals and consultant databases.

Additionally, Luc began their career at Trust Company of the West in 2004, where they worked as a Client Relations Specialist. Peter started as a Credit Mortgage Intern in 2003 at the same company.

Peter Luc holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General, which they obtained from the USC Marshall School of Business from 2013 to 2015. Before that, they earned a BA in Finance from Cal State Fullerton, College of Business and Economics, completed between 1999 and 2004. Peter also passed Level One of the CFA Program through the CFA Institute. Additionally, they hold certifications in Series 3, Series 66, and Series 7 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA).
