Michelle Gilders

Michelle Gilders, M.A. (Oxon), PBiol, RPBio, EP (EM), is an accomplished environmental professional with extensive experience in regulatory affairs and environmental management within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Environmental & Regulatory Affairs Manager for Simply Blue Group, Michelle is involved in developing renewable energy projects, including an offshore wind farm and a renewable energy park in Nova Scotia. Prior to this role, Michelle led regulatory and environmental efforts at Chevron and managed environmental assessments for LNG projects at BG Group. An experienced consultant, Michelle ran their own consulting firm focusing on wildlife, habitat, and oil and gas industries from 2011 to 2023. With a foundational background at LGL Limited and BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc., Michelle's expertise encompasses environmental assessments, permitting, and strategic scientific oversight, supported by a Master's degree in Pure and Applied Biology from the University of Oxford.
