Sheryl Torr-Brown PhD has extensive work experience in various scientific and medical roles. Sheryl is currently the Senior VP Science and Innovation at Simpson Healthcare since September 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President Medical Science and Innovation at Simpson Healthcare from May 2012 to September 2018.
Before joining Simpson Healthcare, Sheryl was the owner of Spiral5 Translational Sciences starting in September 2006. Additionally, they served as the Senior Medical Director at Open Innovators from September 2006 to October 2013.
Sheryl's earlier experience includes working at Pfizer Global Research & Development as the Head Science and Technology and Head of Science, Technology and Knowledge Management from 1999 to 2006. Prior to that, they held the position of Director Knowledge Management and Strategy; Head of Thrombosis Research at Monsanto from September 1994 to 1999.
Sheryl began their career in academia, working at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as an Instructor in Cardiology from February 1992 to August 1994. Sheryl also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine from January 1989 to February 1992.
Sheryl's educational background includes being a PhD student at St George's, University of London from 1986 to 1988. Sheryl started their professional career as an Experimental Officer at Astra Zeneca in 1981.
Sheryl Torr-Brown PhD began their education journey at Lilley and Stone Girls High School. From 1978 to 1982, they pursued a BSc Hons in Applied Biology at Nottingham Trent University. Sheryl then proceeded to the University of Bath, where they spent the academic year 1985-1986 working towards a Ph.D in Pharmacology. Finally, from 1986 to 1988, Sheryl completed their Ph.D in Medicine at St. George's Hospital Medical School, University of London.
