Kyla Schliebs

Kyla Schliebs has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Kyla is currently the Head of LNG Research at SSY - Simpson Spence Young, a role they started in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Wood Mackenzie as a Principal Consultant and Managing Consultant in the Gas & LNG sector from 2020 to 2022. Before that, they were with EDF (UK) as a Senior Analyst and Analyst in Asset Operations from 2018 to 2020. Kyla also has experience at Santos Ltd as a Gas Supply Analyst/Gas Trader, Production Engineer, and Field Production Engineer from 2011 to 2018. Kyla started their career as an Undergraduate Engineer at Origin Energy in 2009, and also worked as a Vacation Student at ExxonMobil in the same year. In 2007, they began their professional journey as an Undergraduate Engineer at Nexus Energy.

Kyla Schliebs has a diverse education history, with degrees in both finance and engineering. Kyla attended the University of Melbourne and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Chemical Engineering (Hons) from the same university. Schliebs also holds a Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.
