Edgar Karssenberg

Edgar Karssenberg has a diverse work experience in procurement and sourcing roles. Edgar began their career in 2005 as the Founder and CEO of AtoMiC Interactions. From 2007 to 2011, they worked at AkzoNobel, where they served as a Sourcing Manager and Spend Area Main Buyer for various regions and materials. In 2011, they joined Natural Composites, Inc. as the Director and Vice President of Applied Research. Since 2013, they have been working at Simpson Strong-Tie, initially as the Chemical Sourcing Category Manager and currently as the Director of Procurement.

Dr. Edgar Karssenberg obtained their Ph.D. in Polymer Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology between 2001 and 2005. Edgar previously completed their B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Twente from 1994 to 2000.
