Karen Colonias

Karen Colonias has been with Simpson Strong-Tie since January 1984, starting as the CFO, Treasurer, and Board Secretary. Karen is now the President & CEO. During their time with the company, they have been responsible for all financial aspects, providing the Board quarterly and annual financials, and SEC requirement updates. With senior management and Board input, they developed a strategic growth strategy to help diversify the product line and enhance the geographic footprint. This included engagement in one divesture and three acquisitions. The company experienced revenue growth from $526M to $604M with operating profits increasing from 6% to 12.3% during their tenure.

Karen Colonias has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cal State East Bay- College of Business & Economics and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from California State University-Sacramento. Karen also has certification from the American Society of Civil Engineers as a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer.
