Shelby Short has extensive work experience in the field of quality management and sales. Shelby started their career in 1997 as a Sales Manager at Hornblower, where they organized and facilitated various meetings and events for corporate clients. In 2002, Shelby joined ADP as a District Manager, providing strategic business and payroll solutions to clients from various industries. Shelby then joined Simpson Strong-Tie in 2004 and held multiple roles, including Outside Sales Representative, Corporate Quality Manager, and Global Quality Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for managing internal and external audits, developing ISO audit programs, and expanding territory sales. Currently, Shelby is the Director of Global Quality and Environmental Health & Safety at Simpson Strong-Tie, where they oversee quality management and a departmental budget.
Shelby Short holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. In addition, Shelby has obtained various certifications in quality improvement, leadership, Lean training, ISO standards, and auditing from institutions such as VitalSmarts, HARRIS LEAN SYSTEMS, INC., A2LA, The Ken Blanchard Companies, ISO - International Organization for Standardization, The Leadership Challenge®, SixSigma.us, and Arsenal Consulting Inc. They are also a Certified Quality Improvement Associate through the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
