Katrina Garcia is the current Project Director at Sims Patrick Studio. Katrina has over eight years of experience in the field of interior design, with a focus on hospitality design. Prior to their current position, they served as Design Director of the Interiors Department at designONE studio from November 2013 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for establishing the design vision, mentoring the talent, project management, quality assurance and quality control, budget management and business development.

Garcia has worked on projects of varying styles, scales, and budgets, which has given their a wide range of experience and versatility as a designer. Her design inspiration comes from the evolution and fluidity of our craft. Katrina sees the ability of hospitality design to consistently reinvent itself as what keeps this industry exciting and our minds creative.

Some of Garcia's recent project experience includes InterContinental Miami, The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, Aloft Asheville Downtown, Isla Bella Beach Resort & Spa, Via Sophia Restaurant, Hamilton Hotel, Society, New Orleans Marriott Pantry, DoubleTree by Hilton Baton Rouge, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, Orlando World Center Marriott Pantry, Homewood Suites (Chicago, Phoenix, San Antonio, Seattle), 5 Church Restaurant, and Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

Katrina Garcia attended Florida State University and earned their Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, graduating Cum Laude. Katrina also holds certification from the Council for Interior Design Qualification (CIDQ) in NCIDQ.

They work with Stephanie England - CFO, Melissa Wylie - VP, Principal, Design and Operations, and Jenny Rutledge - VP, Principal, Design and Construction. Some individuals on their team include Lynsey Sweatt - Project Designer, Liz Glassl - Project Designer. Their manager is Libby Sims Patrick, CEO.
