Sandeep Kolte

Sandeep Kolte has worked in the software industry since 2002. In that time, they have held various positions in different companies. From 2002-2003, Sandeep worked as a Software Assistant at the Student Computing Center at San Diego State University. In this role, they assisted students in efficient use of software programs to aid in completing assigned class work. Sandeep also provided troubleshooting and help with computer problems related to course-specific software, large file transfers, PC & Mac Operating System Issues, and SDSU email server accounts.

From 2003-2004, Sandeep worked as a Software Assistant at BATS: San Diego State University. In this role, they developed new features and modified existing software using C# and VBA Scripts for Excel reports. Sandeep also assisted teachers and students in Technical Workshops in learning the efficient use of software programs for teaching, work, and research projects.

From 2004-2005, Sandeep worked as a Software Engineer - Professional Services at Rodopi Software. Theirprimary responsibilities included development, maintenance, and support of Rodopi Billing Software applications. Sandeep also implemented solutions for OSS Provisioning, telecommunications billing, VoIP Call processing, and Call Detail Records (CDR) analysis and processing.

Finally, from 2005-present, Sandeep has worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SIMS Software. In this role, they have successfully converted customer pain points into revenue generating software products. Sandeep has also led agile software development efforts to deliver key milestones with a cross-functional team. Sandeep has designed and developed enterprise software applications using traditional methodologies as well as agile.

Sandeep Kolte began their educational journey in 1997, when they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University. In 2002, they continued their studies and obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science from San Diego State University in 2005. In 2013, Sandeep began a Professional Series in Virtual and Cloud Computing from the University of California, Berkeley. Sandeep also obtained certificates from Coursera in Software Processes and Agile Practices, Introduction to Software Product Management, Using Databases with Python, Using Python to Access Web Data, Statistical Inference, Reproducible Research, Exploratory Data Analysis, Programming for Everybody (Python), Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox between 2015 and 2017. Sandeep is currently enrolled in a Specialization in Data Science from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
