Trina Thayne

Director of Sales Operations at SIMS Software

Trina Thayne has over 20 years of experience in sales and operations. Trina began their career in 2000 as a Sales Operations Manager at Critical Path and then moved to Marcoa Publishing as a Sales Coordinator from 2001 to 2005. In 2005, they joined San Diego Magazine as the Director of Operations and was responsible for overseeing the sales, production, graphic designers, custom clients, and audience development. Trina managed the systems and processes the company relied on daily and created and managed production schedules, large client custom contracts, and sales reporting. After successfully setting up the business for sale, they were retained by new ownership as the Director of Sales Administration and was responsible for client database, forecasting, reporting, and custom publication contracts. Trina also grew the custom content department from 1 to 15 clients year-over-year. In addition, they introduced new technology and tools, including leading 2 separate migrations to industry-specific CRM systems. In 2017, they were recruited to the organization to oversee the production of 12 issues of the magazine, which included 30+ special advertising sections. Trina directly managed a team of sales assistants, as well as the digital media coordinator throughout the full production lifecycle. In 2022, they joined SIMS Software as the Director of Sales Operations.

Trina Thayne completed their Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communication with a Minor in Business from Arizona State University in 1998. Trina began their studies in 1994.
