Pietro Gozzoli

Vice President R&D at Simulands

Pietro Gozzoli has a diverse work experience in research and development, engineering, and internships. Pietro is currently serving as the Vice President of R&D at SIMULANDS since May 2021. Prior to this, Pietro worked at SwissVortex, starting as a MedTech Engineer in October 2018, then transitioning to the role of R&D Engineer from October 2019 to July 2020. Their most recent role at SwissVortex was that of an R&D Manager, which they held from July 2020 to March 2023. Before joining SwissVortex, Pietro worked as a Scientific Assistant at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich for a short period of time in 2018. Pietro also completed an internship at Universidad Santo Tomás Colombia, where they analyzed hip-joint dysplasia in children using three-dimensional reconstruction of CT images and FEM from October to December 2017. Pietro's master's thesis project, conducted at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, took place from January to September 2017. Pietro also gained industry experience through an internship at Medacta International, where they focused on product development and design optimization of hip joint's implants and instrumentation from October to December 2016. In addition, Pietro worked on a master project at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, researching stress distribution and load-kinematics relationship wearing a soft exoskeleton sitting device from September 2015 to January 2016. Prior to this, they completed their bachelor's thesis at Universitätsklinik Balgrist from February to August 2015. Pietro's work experience began with an internship at Plastifil SA in January-February 2012. Overall, they have gained valuable experience and expertise in various aspects of research, development, and engineering.

Pietro Gozzoli pursued their education in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich. Between 2011 and 2015, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2015 to 2017.
