Christina Wagener is Vice President of Clinical Operations and interim CNO at Sinai Chicago.

Christina joined Sinai Chicago in 2020 as Executive Director of Clinical Service Lines where she oversaw the opening of the new infusion center, The Center for Advanced Wound Healing and the Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, she also led an initiative for operations transformation, partnering with nurses and front-line staff, management and clinical/physician leadership to identify process changes and new system needs resulting in a 16.8% patient volume increase and positive patient care outcomes. She has also directed regulatory and quality reporting and identified improvements for the dialysis department resulting in streamlined communication and increased caregiver satisfaction. .

Prior to coming to Sinai, Christina held several positions in healthcare, including most recently at Swedish Hospital part of NorthShore, University of Chicago Medicine, Heartland Health Outreach and Health Care Service Corporation (BCBS). She holds a Doctorate of Nursing and Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master of Nursing Science from DePaul University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Northern Illinois University. She is a licensed Full Practice Authority Nurse Practitioner and a member of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Illinois Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as a lecturer for the University of Illinois-Chicago School of Public Health. Christina is a former recipient of the 40 under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders Award and has presented original research at multiple conferences across the country.

Christina enjoys travel to see family, spending time with her husband of 24 years and roller skating.
