Cheryl Carson

Cheryl Carson is currently serving as the News Director at WJLA under Sinclair Broadcast Group since February 2019. With a robust background in journalism, Cheryl has held prominent roles such as News Director and Assistant News Director at KING TV from December 2012 to February 2019, and Senior Executive Producer at both Fox Broadcasting and KTTV from September 2000 to September 2011. Earlier experience includes serving as Vice President of News and News Director at WGHP from December 1997 to September 2000, and as an Executive Producer at KTNV and WITN-TV. Cheryl obtained a BS in Communications from James Madison University and studied at Marymount University prior to that.
