Silvia V.

Silvia V. has extensive experience in academic counseling, currently serving as the HS Personal Academic Counselor and PLC Lead at Singapore American School since July 2022. Prior experience includes roles as High School Counselor at the American School Foundation of Monterrey from August 2016 to July 2022 and as a Middle and High School Counselor at BIBS - Beanstalk International Bilingual School from June 2014 to June 2016. Silvia has implemented various programs focused on college awareness, special education inclusivity, and student support, while managing events and initiatives such as SAT testing and anti-bullying measures. Previous experience also includes serving as a Middle School Counselor at Mayde Creek Junior High and as an 8th Grade Mathematics Teacher at Garland McMeans Junior High. Silvia holds a Master's in Education in Counseling from Houston Christian University and a Bachelor's in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Brownsville.
