Azhar Hamdan

Azhar Hamdan is an experienced medical professional currently serving as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Singapore General Hospital since August 2012. In this role, Azhar performs standard diagnostic microbiological procedures, including Aerobic/Anaerobic Cultures, organism identification, and sensitivity testing. Additionally, Azhar has expertise in LIS Microbiology module dictionary operations. Previously, Azhar worked as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in the Central TB Laboratory from 2012 to 2017, focusing on Biosafety Level 3 procedures and being a member of the Emergency Response Team. Azhar also held a Team Leader position with the Singapore Police Force from May 2009 to 2010, where responsibilities included planning operations and liaising with team members. Briefly, Azhar served as a QA Coordinator at KK Women's & Children's Hospital in mid-2012. Azhar holds a Specialist Diploma in Bioinformatics and Data Analytics from Republic Polytechnic, a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Queensland, and a Diploma in Biomedical Sciences from Temasek Polytechnic, along with GCE 'O' Levels from Junyuan Secondary School.
