Seonghi Kang

Seonghi Kang has over ten years of experience in the accounting field. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Tax Accountant at The Way Tax & Accounting. Seonghi then moved to SoudalUSA as an Accounting Manager from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, they took on the role of Senior Accountant at Haynes, where they worked as a contractor for the U.S. Marshals Service. Here, they audited traveler and third party vouchers to ensure they were in compliance with Federal Travel Regulation, and they identified deobligation transactions for invalid obligations. Seonghi also prepared relocation reimbursement accruals and relocation expense reports. Finally, from 2015 to present, Seonghi has been working as an Accounting Manager at Singhal & Company, Inc. Here, they monitor, analyzes, and processes day-to-day transactions to ensure all financial transactions are entered accurately and timely. Seonghi also prepares, reviews, and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications, assigns projects and directs staffs to ensure statutory compliance, and reviews all contracts to conclude on appropriate accounting treatment. Additionally, they forecast revenue, creates budgets, identifies, analyzes and investigates variances, compiles income and balance sheet statements, and coordinates and completes annual audits.

Seonghi Kang's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Strayer University, obtained between 2008 and 2010 in Professional Accounting. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree from George Mason University between 2003 and 2006 in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services. Seonghi also obtained a Master's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1996 and 1999 in Human Resources and Family Studies. Kang has also obtained a number of certifications, including a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) from the AGA in December 2018, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the AICPA in 2011, and an Enrolled Agent from the IRS in 2009.
