Joseph Ó Ruanaidh

Joseph Ó Ruanaidh has a diverse and extensive work experience in algorithm engineering and development. Joseph is currently working as a Principal Algorithm Engineer at Singular Genomics, where they analyze fluorescent images for their innovative G4 sequencing platform. Previously, they worked as a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Gideon Health, a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, and a Signal Processing Engineer at WHOOP. Joseph also served as a Principal Algorithm Engineer at Quanttus, a Lead Algorithm Developer at Huron Technologies, and a Director of Algorithm Development at Quantason. Additionally, Joseph has experience as a Quantitative Developer at DE SHAW & CO and a Lead Algorithm Developer at GE Healthcare. Joseph began their career as a Research Programmer at GenuOne, where they worked on projects related to web security and authentication.

Joseph Ó Ruanaidh earned a Bachelor of Engineering - BE degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Trinity College Dublin from 1986 to 1990. Joseph also obtained a B.A. B.A.I. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the same institution during the same time period. Joseph then pursued a PhD in Statistical Signal Processing from the University of Cambridge from 1990 to 1994. In 2021, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
